Port Blair, May 1: On the occasion of “May Day” and to express solidarity with the working class people and labours, the INTUC and its affiliated Trade Unions took out a procession on 1st May 2023 at 7.00 AM from Gandhi Bhavan which after passing through Gandhi Statue, Clock Tower, Annapurna, Atul Samiti Smriti culminated at Gandhi Bhavan.
In addition to the workers of various Govt. Departments, organized and unorganized sectors, the May Day procession was attended by a large number of senior leaders of ANTCC and its frontal organizations, Municipal Councilors and PRI members.

The event is a milestone for these Islands, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship and eco-tourism.

Port Blair, May 1: A get-together-cum- felicitation program was organised by the Hindu Seva Sangh at "VEENA", Wimberlygunj on 30/04/23 to recognise and Honour the non-members of Hindu Seva Sangh who have contributed immensely during the recently held Ramnavami Shobha Yatra. The Shobha Yatra which was organised by Hindu Seva Sangh, started from Sri Ram Mandir Chunabhatta and concluded at Chouldari.

Port Blair, May 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration to supply water in every villages under the Panchayats of Tushnabad, Mithakhadi, Ferrargunj, Namunaghar and Brindaban by deploying a sufficient number of water tankers.

Port Blair, May 1: In a significant development, the only ward member of the Congress Party in Swaraj Dweep's Ward No. 4 of Govind Nagar Panchayat, Shri Bidhan Mondal has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. This move has made Swaraj Dweep Panchayat Congress-free, said a BJP release.
